Book Review – Blossom – Cathy Jackson

I was honored to be able to read an ARC of this book from the author. Blossom is the continuing the story of Phoenix and continues where Bloom leaves off.

For anyone who has been in an abusive relationship and has the hope of moving on, this book is for you. From the simplest touch that can be terrifying, to the emotional conflict of each word said, Phoenix proves to be a heroin all of her own. John is the best kind of hero, one with patience and understanding and who will put her needs over his own. Together, with their faith, they work through past to move forward in their future.  I loved the friendship they have and the love that strengthens because of that.

The true test of a book is when I am so emotional in a book, it brings me to tears. After all the tears I shed reading this, it gets my 5 stars in tears alone! Thank you Cathy for allowing me to be part of your team and be able to read this amazing book!

Book Review - Unrequited

Unrequited - One Girl, Thirteen Boyfriends, and Vodka

First of all, I have to say that the cover and the title threw me off and to be honest I was hesitant to read it. The phase "you can't judge a book by its cover" totally applies here.  How wrong I was and I should have stopped what I was doing, sat down and started reading it as soon as I opened it in my mail!!!!
Did you ever read a book that you wanted to shake the character at the same time cheering her on?  Well this is it! You can't help but love her and I know a few of my friends who could be her that I love dearly!  I was impressed and couldn't put the book down!

Book Review - Becoming the Whiskey Princess - Toni Aleo

Toni Aleo - Becoming the Whiskey Princess

First of all, I love Toni Aleo's writing. Anything hockey and I'm. When she wrote Whiskey Prince, I have to say I was a little skeptical. I loved Whiskey Prince, loved the story. It wasn't just the romance but the relationships.
For Amberlyn, a heart broken girl who hasn't yet ventured out into the world to find a family and a cousin who embrace her, build her up and love her is something special. And you have Declan, always used to scrutiny and does not have the ability to trust that anyone will like him for anything but his fortune. The two of them to be able to be that person to be able to heal the hurts in one another and to find true love and one that will go on.
You don't often get to hear about what happens after and now you do. In Becoming the Whiskey Princess you are once again drawn into the world of Amberlyn & Declan. This time the struggles are different but still real. How will the trial go; what emotional impact will they have;.how do you go from nothing to a world of money and luxury without losing yourself; all while planning a wedding in a short time and still getting to know the person you plan to spend your life with. I loved it! Declan trying to protect the love of his life from the stoic family role and the way things have always been.  So glad Amberlyn has a strong self worth and inner persona that will stand up for herself but also for Declan.
I enjoyed this book so much and Toni Aleo has once again shown why so many people love her books!!!

Hi,

My name is Kathy and I'm going to attempt to blog, I've written  posts before but nothing like this. So hopefully I will get better over time.

I read, everything. From Christian fiction and non-fiction to 50 Shades of Grey. I just never know what I will be interested in next.  I've found several authors that I like and will post reviews and releases for them.  Copy and Paste is my friend so I don't doubt that I will be doing more of that. So many people have said things more eloquently and more meaningful than I ever could so why reinvent the wheel.

I have so many interests that I can't guarantee what I will post - craft ideas, home improvements, family, whitewater rafting, waterfalls, anything goes.

So hello!
